LINCOLN (AP) — Two Oregon men have been arrested in Nebraska, accused of possessing nearly 39 pounds of marijuana for sale.
The Nebraska State Patrol said the men were headed east on Interstate 80 on Sunday afternoon when their pickup was pulled over on the northwest side of Lincoln for a traffic violation.
The patrol said a drug dog taken to the scene alerted troopers to the odor of drugs. Troopers say they found sealed bags of pot in an external fuel tank sitting in the pickup bed.
The two men were identified as Gregory Miller, 43, of Tualatin, and Britt Bones, 38, of Eagle Point.
A Lancaster County jailer said Miller and Bones remained in custody Tuesday.
