Former Sen. Bob Kerrey said Friday he expects to split his time between New York and Nebraska after his wife's sister was diagnosed with cancer.
Kerrey and his wife, Sarah Paley, bought a house in Omaha this year after he decided to run for the U.S. Senate seat.
But Paley and the Kerreys' son, Henry, are apparently headed back to New York for a while. Kerrey told The World-Herald that Paley feels that her sister needs her.
“I am guessing — just guessing — that this means I will have a Nebraska and New York presence. It's just too early to know for certain,” Kerrey said in an email. — Joseph Morton
