The Neighborhood Center and the University of Nebraska at Omaha have announced that Anne Steinhoff has been named the center’s interim director, effective Thursday.
She replaces Ron Abdouch, who retired Wednesday.
Steinhoff is founder and president of Steinhoff and Associates, a national consultant, trainer and meeting facilitator that has advised nearly 100 organizations throughout the Midwest on such things as strategic planning, capacity building, and board development and governance.
In the past, she held positions with entities such as a Catholic health system, the administrations of two Omaha mayors, a state university and a Fortune 500 company magazine.
Steinhoff, a member of the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska, also has served on the boards of Catholic Charities, YWCA Omaha, Nebraska AIDS Project and OneWorld Community Health Centers in Omaha and the St. Augustine Indian Mission in Winnebago, Neb.
The Neighborhood Center provides training and support for residents and neighborhood associations in Douglas, Sarpy and Pottawattamie Counties.
