Police say a 33-year-old Omaha woman was arrested Wednesday afternoon in the cutting of another woman.
Police found a 39-year-old Omaha woman with cuts to her arms near North 31st Avenue and Dodge Street. She was taken to Creighton University Medical Center with nonlife-threatening injuries, police said.
Later, the 33-year-old was arrested on suspicion of felony assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
Police said an investigation determined that the injuries occurred when the arrested woman accused the victim of “sleeping” with her husband.
Early Thursday, police were investigating another cutting, which occurred about 3:30 a.m. near 30th and Fort Streets.
The victim, a 20-year-old Omaha man, suffered nonlife-threatening injuries and was taken to Creighton University Medical Center.
The victim told officers that he was walking near 30th and Fort when four men jumped from a vehicle and assaulted him.
Later, at the victim's residence, police found drug paraphernalia and evidence of a fight.
The man was arrested after police discovered that he had two outstanding warrants.
