MILWAUKEE — The UNO men’s soccer team fell 2-0 at Milwaukee on Tuesday.
The Panthers scored twice in the first half to take control of the game, dropping the Mavericks to 4-8-1.
The Mavs’ best scoring chance came in the 55th minute, when Emir Alihodzic’s blast from 25 yards out passed just over the crossbar. Houston Hoffman and Jake Linden each had shots on goal for the Mavericks, and Craig Buettner added a header from close range in the 85th minute that was cleared by a Milwaukee defender.
The Panthers outshot UNO 21-11 overall and 12-2 in shots on goal. Mavs goaltender Josh Christensen matched his career high of 10 saves in his first start of the season.
The Mavericks begin their final three-game stretch of conference play at Kansas City at 1 p.m. Saturday.
