Craft retailer Hobby Lobby will be part of the Settlers Creek shopping center under construction at the northeast corner of 72nd Street and Cornhusker Road in Papillion, developers said Monday.
The new 55,000-square-foot store is scheduled to open in spring 2013.
More tenants are expected to be announced soon, said Jay R. Lerner, president of the Lerner Company of Omaha, which is working with RED Development on the project, planned as a 250,000-square-foot shopping center. A Walgreens is currently the only store open.
Hobby Lobby spokesman Vincent Parker said the La Vista store on 84th Street will relocate to the Papillion site. “It will be the same great Hobby Lobby that everyone has come to enjoy.”
Papillion Mayor David Black said he was pleased to see the project move forward with a well-known retail name.
