Omaha police arrested one man and cited three others Monday night during a traffic stop in north Omaha.
About 7:20 p.m., officers made a stop near 45th and Ohio Streets, and after approaching the vehicle, police noticed a strong odor of marijuana.
A passenger attempted to flee, and after that passenger reached into his waistband, an officer deployed a taser, enabling police to arrest him. A gun fell from the suspect's waistband during the arrest.
The 25-year-old Omaha man was arrested on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm and obstructing an officer.
The three other Omahans who were cited: a 30-year-old man on suspicion of driving under suspension and having an open container of alcohol in the vehicle; a 27-year-old man on suspicion of possessing marijuana of less than one ounce; and a 28-year-old man on suspicion for having an open container of alcohol.
