KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Natalie Ebke earned her fifth double-double of the season Tuesday, but the UNO volleyball team fell 15-25, 17-25, 25-22, 25-22, 15-10 to UMKC.
Ebke finished with 10 kills and 13 digs for the Mavs (5-10, 0-3 Summit), while Megan Schmale and Jessy Schroedter each added 11 kills.
After falling behind 2-0, UNO hit .244 in the third set and .333 in the fourth to knot the match at two sets apiece. But UMKC, which was led by Emily Lucas' 23 kills and 16 digs, closed out the match in the fifth set.
UNO returns to action Friday with a 7 p.m. match at Western Illinois.
