A 39-year-old Council Bluffs man has died of injuries he suffered Saturday in a motorcycle crash three miles northwest of Underwood.
Joshua Suhr, 38, of Council Bluffs, was southbound on Pottawattamie County Road L-34 approaching Sumac Road on a 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle at approximately 6:20 p.m. when he reportedly failed to make a turn and went into the ditch.
Suhr was flown by helicopter to Creighton University Medical Center, where he died Sunday.
Deputies from the Pottawattamie County Sheriff's Office said Suhr was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The accident remains under investigation.
In a separate crash, a 39-year-old woman suffered what were believed to be non-life threatening injuries when she lost control of her motorcycle near Walnut about 4 p.m. Saturday.
Deputies from the Pottawattamie County Sheriff's office reported that Renee Hansen was southbound on Iowa Highway 83 on a 1996 Harley Davidson when she failed to negotiate a curve and crashed into a ditch near 505th Street.
Hansen was transported to Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic, then flown to Creighton University Medical Center.

Her place of residence was not immediately available.
