COUNCIL BLUFFS — A Fremont, Neb., man suffered injuries in a semitrailer-truck accident on Interstate 80 Thursday morning in Cass County.
About 10:30 a.m., Robert Nolan, 55, was eastbound on I-80 in a 2013 Freightliner tractor-trailer when he lost control of the vehicle, according to the Iowa State Patrol.
The semi entered the median, crossed both westbound lanes and struck a tree in the north ditch.
The trailer separated from the tractor and both came to rest in the ditch, the State Patrol said.
Medical personnel transported Nolan to Cass County Memorial Hospital, where officials declined to release information on his condition.
