A basketball tournament is scheduled for Sunday to help raise money to pay for a reward for information in the killing of Calvin Cotton Jr.
Cotton, 15, played basketball at Omaha North. He was shot May 23 near 48th Street and Meredith Avenue and died later at a local hospital.
The tournament will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Bryant Center, 24th and Erskine Streets.
The cost is $15 per person; cash and money orders are accepted.
All registration forms can be found at gofundme.com/wroxw. The deadline for registering is 5 p.m. today.
The Cotton family hopes to raise at least $500 this weekend toward the reward goal of $1,500. All reward money will be handled through CrimeStoppers.
