Dust off the blankets and camping chairs — and get out your credit cards — because it's Stir Cove time again.
On Thursday, the venue outside of Harrah's Casino announced its summer concert series lineup.
Topping the list are the Avett Brothers, Grace Potter & the Nocturnals, Jamey Johnson and Dwight Yoakam.
The Avett Brothers are a folk-rock band led by Scott and Seth Avett. The band's music mixes bluegrass, rock, country, ragtime and folk, and the group's latest album, "I and Love and You," landed on many "best of the year" lists, including The World-Herald's. Last year, the band performed at the Grammy Awards with Mumford & Sons and Bob Dylan.
Grace Potter & the Nocturnals are a Vermont rock band and the group's new album will be released in June.
For country fans, Yoakam and Johnson should be big shows. Yoakam's honky-tonk music has been popular for decades and he's played Stir Cove before. Johnson's star is rising with a Grammy nomination this year and a hit single in "High Cost of Living." He also writes songs for such artists as Trace Adkins and George Strait.
The Shins and 311 were announced prior to Thursday, and they also look to be big concerts at the venue.
Stir Cove organizers plan to book about 10 more concerts at the venue and those will be announced as they come.
Unless otherwise noted, tickets go on sale April 6 at 10 a.m. at www.stircove.com.
