LINCOLN — Former Nebraska defensive coordinator Carl Pelini filed for divorce in Lancaster County District Court last month.
He and his wife, Kelley, have been married for 20 years, but the complaint — filed Jan. 11 — states that their marriage is “irretrievably broken and should be dissolved.” There are no hearings currently scheduled.
Attempts to reach Carl Pelini were unsuccessful this week. Also, his attorney did not respond to multiple phone messages.
Carl Pelini, brother of Husker football coach Bo Pelini, accepted a head coaching position at Florida Atlantic in December.
According to online court records, Carl Pelini had also filed divorce papers in district court on Sept. 26, but that case was closed on Oct. 4 and no action was taken.
