Exercising with your partner strengthens your bond.
When you work out, your brain releases dopamine, a neurotransmitter linked to motivation and reward. Dopamine also is responsible for the initial euphoria of falling in love. When you exercise with someone, your dopamine receptors open, and you associate those positive feelings with your workout partner. The more intense the exercise, the more intense the connection.
Exercising with your partner leads to better and more frequent sex.
When you feel connected to your partner, desire increases - and you're likely to act on it. You'll also be more open to sex because you'll be more confident: Staying active boosts body image. Not only will your libido spike, but you'll also be more present during the deed.
Exercising with your partner promotes a "we" mindset.
Working out together is a team effort, even if you're not playing a team sport. Just driving to the gym together shows you're in it as a couple. That feeling of mutual support not only will get you to the gym more often, it also will strengthen those feelings of support outside the gym.
