Hawkeyes set record, win big

IOWA CITY — The Iowa Hawkeyes set a national average home attendence record Sunday afternoon while deafeating Wisconsin 39-3.

The Hawkeyes won nine of 10 matches against the Badgers in front of 6,809. During the season, Iowa averaged 9,014 in six duals to break its own previous record of 8,209 last season.

Against Wisconsin, Mike Evans scored the only pin of the afternoon against the Badger's Ben Jordan in 2:23.

Iowa's next competition is February 12th at the NWCA National Dual tournament in Ames, Iowa.
