RAVENNA, Neb. — A rural Gibbon, Neb., man has been identified as the victim of a van-semitrailer truck crash Monday on Ravenna Road.
Larry Homan, 73, died after the 1997 Chrysler Town and Country van he was driving collided with the semi at noon Monday at 235th Road and Ravenna Road, which is eight miles south of Ravenna.
An investigation by the Buffalo County Sheriff's Office determined that the semi, driven by Steven Kucera, 46, of David City was northbound on Ravenna Road when Homan, driving west on 235th Road, failed to yield the right of way and drove into the semi's path.
There are stop signs for east-west traffic on 235th Road at the Ravenna Road intersection.
Kucera was uninjured.
Both men were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
