An 86-year-old woman suffered a broken leg Sunday after being hit by a car in south Omaha.
At about 6:50 a.m., Dorothy Mengedoht was walking across S. 13th Street, just south of the intersection of 13th and Vinton streets, said Omaha police Sgt. Anthony Gutierrez.
Angelina Diego, 19, was driving a 2000 Ford Contour south on 13th Street when she allegedly hit Mengedoht, Gutierrez said.
Diego was uninjured.
Mengedoht was taken to the University of Nebraska Medical Center to have her broken left leg treated.
Alcohol and speed do not appear to be factors in the accident, Gutierrez said.
