Omaha scouting report: There is plenty of incentive for the Lancers (21-11-2) in a busy weekend that kicks off with Friday's home game against Tri-City. The last time these two teams played, Tri-City defeated the Lancers 3-0 on Dec. 31. ... Omaha enters the weekend having won six of its past seven games and 12 of the past 15. ... Forwards Anthony Hamburg and Max Vallis, defenseman Kevin Schulze and goalie Alex Lyon all have been suspended for the Tri-City game because of their involvement in the line brawl during Omaha's 3-2 win over Lincoln on Jan. 21. Chase Wilson will serve as Omaha's emergency goalie Friday. ... Forward Ken Babinski is on a seven-game point streak, totalling five goals and three assists during that stretch. Babinski already has matched his goal total from last season.
Tri-City scouting report: The Storm (12-23-0) snapped a six-game losing streak Jan. 21 with a 3-2 victory over Waterloo. Tri-City was outscored 35-9 during that skid. ... The Storm are 4-13 on the road this season, having been outscored 66-41. ... Forward Nick Lappin is Tri-City's leading scorer with 30 points (17 goals, 13 assists), tying him for 20th in the USHL.
Des Moines scouting report: Though Omaha won the most recent game against the Buccaneers (13-15-3), Des Moines leads the season series 3-1. ... This is the fifth of six games the two teams are scheduled to play, with the last matchup scheduled for April 13, the next-to-last day of the regular season. ... Des Moines is 7-6-3 at home this season. ... Forward Anthony Greco leads the Buccaneers with 25 points (10 goals, 15 assists).
