Enjoy some of Finland's finest music courtesy of the Omaha Symphony Masterworks Series.
The symphony will be showcasing some Finnish favorites by the great Jean Sibelius.
The symphony players will be joined by renowned pianist Jeffrey Kahane, who will also conduct the show.
The concert includes "Lemminkäinen's Return" from the orchestral piece "Lemminkäinen Suite," which is based on the Finnish national epic "Kalevala."
Also included in the performance is "The Valse Triste" from "Kuloema," a sweeping waltz, and Sibelius' "Symphony No. 5 in E-Flat Major," a triumphant and glorious symphony written in celebration of his 50th birthday.
Led by Kahane, the symphony will also perform one of Mozart's most popular and most difficult works, "Piano Concerto No. 25 in C Major."
