FILIPINO CELEBRATION: Filipino food, music and dancing will be part of a Sunday celebration of Jesus as a child. HEALING SERVICE: Calvary Lutheran Church, 2941 N. 80th St., will hold a healing and worship service at 6 p.m. Sunday. The service is open to all.
FAMILY NIGHT: Sacred Heart Catholic Parish in Norfolk, Neb., will hold a family night program on Sunday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Burns Gym. Magician John Laskowski will perform, and there will be a musical presented by the youth choir. Activities are free. Supper will be available for a donation in the parish center. CHRISTIAN WOMEN'S RETREAT: Lisa Harper, a speaker at Women of Faith programs across the country, will be the featured speaker for a women's retreat in McCook, Neb., on Jan. 28. Harper has a master's degree in theological studies and uses humor to deliver her message. She is the author of the books "Stumbling Into Grace" and "A Perfect Mess."
The all-day program will include worship and music led by Stephanie Montes. Registration, $25, is due by Jan. 23 and includes lunch. To register online, see www.mccookefc.org.
