Sunny day! The Sesame Street Live production of "Elmo Makes Music" will be sweeping the clouds away at CenturyLink Center Omaha Thursday through Sunday.
Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Big Bird and their Sesame Street friends will share their love of music during this Broadway-style musical.
The story revolves around Jenny, an enthusiastic music teacher. When she arrives in the neighborhood she discovers that her instruments are missing.
Jenny's new Muppet friends come to her rescue by discovering the musical qualities of rubber duckies, trash can lids and cookie jars.
Elmo, Abby Cadabby and friends teach kids in the audience that everyone can make and enjoy beautiful music together. Lessons about patience, acceptance and teamwork are also in the mix. Adults in the audience can appreciate the high-tech stagecraft, wordplay and such tunes as "The Hustle," "You Should Be Dancing" and "Rockin' Robin."
"Elmo Makes Music" features nearly two dozen songs, including such Sesame Street classics as "C Is for Cookie" and "The Alphabet Song."
Sesame Workshop is the nonprofit educational organization responsible for the landmark "Sesame Street" television programs. The workshop produces local programs, seen in more than 140 countries. VEE Corp., a family entertainment company headquartered in Minneapolis, Minn., produces the stage shows.
