Bowl game bet is surf vs. turf

Huskers vs. Gamecocks. Scarlet and cream vs. garnet and black.

    Surf vs. turf.

Nebraska Gov. Dave Heineman and South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley are betting each state's signature dish on the outcome of the upcoming Capitol One Bowl on Jan 2.

If Nebraska wins, Heineman will receive Lowcountry shrimp and grits. If South Carolina somehow walks away a winner, Heineman will send Haley Omaha Steaks.

Both governors had tough talk to back up their wager.

"In a defensive struggle, the Blackshirts will prevail," Heineman said. "I'm looking forward to sharing shrimp and grits with friends."

"We couldn't be more confident," Haley said.
