CEDAR CREEK, Neb. (AP) — A man has been arrested on suspicion of drunken driving after authorities say he watched a freight train hit his car in Cedar Creek.
The Cass County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident, which happened early Wednesday morning.
Investigators say the driver told them his car became stuck on the railroad tracks and that he ran to safety after he saw the train approaching. The impact pushed his car off the tracks.
The man's name was not immediately released.
