One person was killed and three people were injured in a two-vehicle accident in Audubon County.
Kristopher Crawley, 17, of Hamlin, Iowa, was killed in the crash late Wednesday.
He was a passenger in a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Jason Rattenborg, 22, of Audubon, who was injured in the crash and taken to Audubon's hospital.
The Iowa State Patrol said the Jeep was northbound on U.S. Highway 71, just north of Brayton, when it collided with a southbound 2006 Chevrolet truck driven by Kendall Ware, 55, of Lineville.
Ware was injured and taken to the Cass County Hospital.
Also injured was Mark Piearson of Leon, who was in the truck driven by Ware. Piearson, 30, was taken to the hospital in Audubon.
The State Patrol said both vehicles ended up in the west ditch of Highway 71. Rattenborg and Crawley were wearing seat belts, and Ware and Piearson were not wearing seat belts.
