Mitt Romney will be stumping for cash in Omaha this week.

The Republican presidential candidate plans to attend a Thursday evening fundraiser at the downtown Embassy Suites. The reception is being hosted by Nebraska Gov. Dave Heineman, former Omaha Mayor Hal Daub and Bruce Lauritzen, chairman of First National Bank of Omaha.

Heineman endorsed Romney earlier this year. It is the second time he has backed the former Massachusetts governor.

Romney, in his second bid for the presidency, is considered a frontrunner in the GOP race for the nomination.

His Thursday fundraiser is not open to the public, but Romney is expected to make a public appearance earlier Thursday in neighboring Council Bluffs. Details of Romney's Iowa stops still were being worked out Monday.

As for the fundraiser, Romney is looking to raise some serious cash. The event costs $1,000 to attend. Or, $2,500 if a person wants their picture taken with him.
