The Creighton women's tennis team took four singles titles and two doubles titles in the Omaha Collegiate Invitational Sunday at the Koch Family Tennis Center, while the men's team claimed two singles crowns.
"The women's team played an outstanding tournament," Creighton coach Tom Lilly said. "The titles won were not all expected, especially with the improved teams we played."
Creighton's Jennie Hartjes won the Flight A bracket and teamed with Elizabeth Vermillion to share the Flight B doubles title with teammates Mary McMullan and Amanda Noonan, who also won the Flight E singles title.
J.T Christian and Sean Mathison led the Bluejay men, winning the Flight B and Flight C singles brackets, respectively.
Christian then teamed up with Kyle Obermeier to finish 2-0 on the day in doubles competition.
Lorenz Laurel finished with a win for the Jays, defeating the University of Nebraska-Omaha's Ben Williams 6-2, 6-1.
