Iowa roads officials are seeking bids for repairs to flood-damaged Highway 2 in Fremont County and the Highway 75-Decatur, Neb., bridge. Bids for both projects are due Wednesday.
The Fremont County project extends from the Missouri River near Nebraska City to east of Interstate 29. Highway 2 has been closed since June 18.
The Iowa Department of Transportation is the lead agency on the bridge project, which involves cooperation with the Nebraska Roads Department and the Burt County (Neb.) Bridge Commission. The bridge has been closed since June 27 because of Missouri River flood damage.
