Teens charged in assault case

LINCOLN (AP) — Authorities have charged three 16-year-old boys with the sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl in Lincoln.

Two were charged Wednesday with first-degree sexual assault, a felony. The third boy was charged with misdemeanor sexual assault.

All three were charged as adults, but their names were not used because of their ages.

Court documents say the girl was drinking alcohol with the boys one night in July when she was assaulted in the back of the car they were in. She told authorities that she had screamed "Stop!" and "No!"

A fourth boy, who was driving the car, was cited on suspicion of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
