LINCOLN — The Nebraska baseball team has announced the dates and times for its annual Red-White series at Hawks Field.
The three-game series will begin on Oct. 6 at 7 p.m. and will continue on Oct. 7 at 5 p.m. The final game of the series will kick off on Oct. 8. The baseball game will start at 11 a.m., while the Husker volleyball team will host Indiana at 3 p.m. before the football team concludes the day’s activities with a 7 p.m. game against Ohio State at Memorial Stadium.
The Huskers’ 56-game schedule in 2012 starts with 10 games on the road before the Huskers host their home opener against former Big 12 foe Kansas State on March 6. The Huskers will play eight Big Ten series, with the only conference teams not on the schedule being Penn State and Michigan State, as well as Wisconsin, which doesn’t have a baseball program.
