New hours: The Disaster Recovery Center in Blair, Neb., will hold its last Saturday hours today, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Starting Monday, the center will operate Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. until further notice. The center is at the Washington County Court House, 1555 Colfax St. It serves those seeking flood assistance in Boyd, Burt, Cass, Dakota, Dixon, Douglas, Knox, Lincoln, Nemaha, Richardson, Sarpy and Washington Counties. Before visiting a recovery center, people should register with the Federal Emergency Management Agency by calling 800-621-FEMA (3362) or going to www.DisasterAssistance.gov.
Those with speech or hearing disabilities may call (TTY) 800-462-7585. People affected by the floods also may apply for federal help through a web-enabled mobile device or smartphone.
