NIOBRARA, Neb. (AP) — A section of Nebraska Highway 12 that was closed because of Missouri River flooding has been reopened.
The section runs between Niobrara and the Santee Spur. There will be a weight limit of 15 tons, and some stretches will have flaggers to help motorists get through.
The Nebraska Roads Department said the highway remains closed west of Niobrara State Park.
The reopening gives Niobrara residents access to the Chief Standing Bear Bridge over the Missouri River.
