    Moen-Davis takes home another gold

WICHITA, Kan. — Omaha North graduate LaQue Moen-Davis won her second gold medal Thursday at the USA Track and Field National Junior Olympics.

Moen-Davis won the young women's (ages 17-18) long jump with a leap of 19 feet, 6 inches at Wichita State. Caleb Cowling of Takeyon Athletik finished third in the intermediate boys (15-16) long jump with a Nebraska Association record jump of 22-9, topping the 22-7 set by Steve Carson of Red Oak, Iowa, in 1961.

Kathleen Medill of the Lincoln Jets was second in the youth girls (13-14) high jump when she cleared 5-5, and Brady Rutt of Hastings was seventh in the young men's shot put at 55-9. Not all of Thursday's results were available late Thursday evening.
