Several portions of downtown streets, including those near TD Ameritrade Park, were flooded and closed Sunday night after a thunderstorm inundated the sewer system there.
But traffic was flowing normally Monday, and no problems were expected for the evening College World Series.
Eppley Airfield measured 1.05 inches of rain from the storm that moved into the Omaha area Sunday night,
Omaha's Public Works Department advised drivers to stay away from:
>> Nicholas Street, from 11th to 16th Streets.
>> The area between 10th and Mike Fahey Streets and 12th and Cuming Streets.
>> The intersections of both 11th and Grace Streets and 13th and Izard Streets.
Pumps were used to move the slow-draining rainwater into the already-flooded Missouri River.
