COLUMBUS, Neb. (AP) A judge has fined a Columbus man $2,500 and placed him probation for allowing his home to be used for a late-night underage drinking party in January.
The Columbus Telegram reports Wednesday that a Platte County judge found 60-year-old Richard Drake guilty of 10 counts of aiding and abetting minors in possession of alcohol during a bench trial last week.
The judge fined Drake $250 for each of the 10 counts and gave him 18 months of probation.
Prosecutors say Drake knowingly allowed his house to be used for the party. He stayed at his home for a time and then left for the evening. There was no evidence that Drake provided any of the alcohol for the party.
