LINCOLN — The Nebraska Legislature is on track to end its session three days early.
Speaker of the Legislature Mike Flood of Norfolk said Monday that he expects the body can wrap up its work Thursday and head home for the year before the Memorial Day weekend.
The legislative calendar set earlier had called for lawmakers to return after the holiday.
Lawmakers last adjourned early in 2009, when they also were able to finish three days sooner than scheduled.
Legislative sessions are limited to 90 legislative days during odd-numbered years and 60 days during even-numbered years.
