ST. CLOUD, Minn. — Felix Segovia hit a walk-off single on Monday as the University of Nebraska at Kearney baseball team defeated Mesa State 4-3 in 10 innings at the Central Regional, moving within one win of the Division II World Series.
The Lopers play Winona State at 10 a.m. Tuesday with the winner advancing to the World Series in Cary, N.C. That event begins Saturday with powerhouse Central Missouri, the South Central Region champ, awaiting.
Winona defeated UNK 2-0 on Monday morning to stay alive in the tournament. On Sunday, the Lopers had beaten Winona.
Against Mesa, Kearney trailed 3-1 in the bottom of the ninth before rallying.
