A little Sinatra surely will set your weekend mood.
Singer Steve Lippia, a dead ringer for Ol’ Blue Eyes, will lend his voice in “Simply Sinatra” for the next installment of the Omaha Symphony’s Pop concert series.
Lippia will give three tribute performances — 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday — at the Holland Performing Arts Center, 1200 Douglas St.
He’s considered by many to be one of the finest interpreters of classic and traditional pop music in the country. Sinatra’s own music director hailed him as the “best young singer I’ve heard in 25 years.” In Omaha, he’ll perform with Ernest Richardson, conductor.
According to press information, there will be up to 21 songs on the program. Fans can expect to hear the classics, “New York, New York,” “Come Fly with Me,” and “My Way.”
