LINCOLN — Nebraska point guard Lindsey Moore has earned one of 35 invitations to compete at the women's World University Games team trials in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Moore, a 5-foot-9 junior-to-be from Covington, Wash., will compete May 22 to 25 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center for a spot on the U.S. World University Games team that will compete in Shenzhen, China, Aug. 14 to 21.
“The last time I went to Colorado Springs, I didn't really know what to expect, and I can remember being really nervous,'' Moore said. “This time, I'm going out there to compete for a spot on that team. I've gained two great years of experience at Nebraska, and I know I'm more prepared than I was two years ago.”
Nebraska Coach Connie Yori is a member of the USA Basketball women's junior national team committee that helped select the players invited to the trials.
