Bozell is moving its 50-person advertising and marketing operation from west Omaha to the Old Market, opening its new office Jan. 1 in the old Butternut building at 1022 Leavenworth St.
“We’d like to be in a creative, urban environment,” said Robin Donovan, a principal in the firm. “We also are using the opportunity to get into a more collaborative space. We’re going to get rid of our offices and have maybe a few more conference rooms.”
Donovan said the company likes the building’s vintage atmosphere and plans “to do some funky things” with the space.
Bozell signed a long-term agreement for the first-floor space, which previously was occupied by the Halo Institute. The business incubator, a partnership of Halo Creative Capital and Creighton University, moved to the Creighton campus in October.
Bozell once had offices in the former Blackstone Hotel at 36th and Farnam Streets and later in Regency office park. Eleven years ago, it moved to the Valmont building near 138th Street and West Dodge Road.
Bozell had been a part of Interpublic Group. Bozell executives bought the company from Interpublic in 2001.
