3:59 p.m., Wednesday: Nebraska cornerback Prince Amukamara hasn't decided just yet if he'll play in the Senior Bowl, the annual college football all-star game that features many of the top draft-eligible prospects.
Amukamara is an All-American, the Big 12 defensive player of the year and a Jim Thorpe Award finalist. So he may not necessarily need the chance to raise his individual profile heading into February's NFL Combine and eventually the NFL Draft.
But Amukamara can see the advantages of playing in the Senior Bowl, which will be held Jan. 29 in Mobile, Ala.
“Just to showcase your talents in front of all the NFL guys that are going to be there, and just to do it against all the best players in the nation,” Amukamara said.
If Amukamara does decide to play, he'll likely have some familiar faces participating alongside him.
Offensive guard Keith Williams, tight end Mike McNeill, running back Roy Helu and receiver Niles Paul all have received invitations to play in the Senior Bowl, according to Amukamara.
“From what I hear, they're all talking about going,” he said.
Amukamara is just a little unsure.
“I'm definitely looking into it,” he said.
