Omaha life coach Lamarr Womble, 27, created Passion for Leadership, a motivational program to help young people personally and professionally through a series of workshops and lectures. He has partnered with Fox Hollow Coffee, 1919 Papillion Parkway, to host a free workshop on Wednesday from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event is limited to the first 20 students who e-mail Lamarr@passionforleadership.org or registering at passionforleadership.org.
Here are the five things he couldn’t live without:
1. Silly Bandz and wrist bracelets.
“The Silly Bandz have become special to me because my students give them to me when I get done speaking. I know how important Silly Bandz are to the kids and I know when they feel confident enough in me and what I said to them, they feel like they can give me something to remember them by.”
2. Motivational prints.
“I am a huge believer in positive reinforcement. Every day when I walk in and out of my apartment, I look up on the wall (to see the) two pieces of art that say ‘DREAM’ and ‘BELIEVE’.”
3. His camera.
“I love reminiscing and thinking about my childhood and teenage years. I love taking pictures and video to capture all of my memories.”
4. A Chinese symbol tattoo meaning “live life.”
5. Showers.
“I love taking 45-minute to hour-long showers. I would’ve brought a shower head (for the photo shoot) but that might have been difficult. It’s a great place to relax and think.”
