World-Herald staff writer Dirk Chatelain breaks down the specifics from the Nebraska Cornhuskers' 45-17 win against Colorado.

Noticed
Joe Broekemeier’s first career catch on third down in the first quarter. Nice moment for the Aurora, Neb., senior, who filled in for Niles Paul. But it makes you wonder: Where are the young scholarship receivers in this program?
Questionable call
How much contact is too much? After Rex Burkhead called for fair catch on a first-quarter punt return, a Colorado defender ran into him. Burkhead didn’t fall down, but it was still a pretty good hit. Officials didn’t throw the flag.
Peculiar play
Rex Burkhead charged toward the line of scrimmage, stopped as if he was going to throw, then rolled left, then found Kyler Reed in the end zone for his second touchdown pass. Doesn’t get much more peculiar than that.
Rave review
The senior defensive backs came up big again, making Cody Hawkins’ last game mostly miserable. The CU quarterback finished 10 for 26 for 163 yards. Eric Hagg and DeJon Gomes each had interceptions in their last home game.
