1:45 a.m., Sunday: Nebraska's defensive performance Saturday night against Kansas sent the Huskers' sports information folks digging.
Some of what they found:
> The 87 total yards allowed by Nebraska in the 20-3 victory were the fewest since the Huskers surrendered 84 vs. Baylor in 2000.
> The five first downs by KU were the fewest by a Husker opponent since Kansas had four in a 35-0 loss to Nebraska in Lawrence in 1997. KU had just 48 total yards in that game.
> Kansas' 15 passing yards were the lowest total by an NU opponent since Nicholls State did not complete a pass during a 2006 game. The Huskers have held six of 10 opponents this season to 135 passing yards or fewer.
> NU has allowed 10 points or fewer in nine of its last 13 home games.
"I thought it was a really solid performance," NU coach Bo Pelini said. "You don't hold somebody to under 100 yards without playing good football."
