    Five things: What we learned, what we didn't

    World-Herald staff writer Rich Kaipust looks at five things we learned and five things we didn't learn from NU's 38-17 win over Idaho.

    * * *

    FIVE THINGS WE LEARNED

    1

    There’s more than just one or two members of the Nebraska secondary who can make plays.

    2

    Seven sacks prove that the Huskers can generate some pass rush without Ndamukong Suh.

    3

    Nebraska has more breakaway threats in its run game than in just about any recent season.

    4

    The Huskers still own the WAC, standing 22-1 all-time against members of the conference.

    5

    Bo Pelini doesn’t subscribe to the “any win is a good win” philosophy (wait, we already knew that).

    * * *

    FIVE THINGS WE STILL DON’T KNOW

    1

    How effective can Taylor Martinez be when the Huskers need to throw the ball downfield?

    2

    Can anybody hang more than 20 points on NU? It hasn’t happened in the last 10 games.

    3

    Lavonte David looks established, but how is the other linebacker spot going to shake out?

    4

    The NU offense had some trouble with short-yardage efficiency Saturday. Should it be a concern?

    5

    Is Nebraska truly a top 10 team? That might be easier to answer after next Saturday.
