9:05 p.m.: Nebraska practiced Sunday on day No. 2 of preseason camp, but it was closed to the media, so we'll have to wait until Monday night for the next set of interviews with players and coaches.
It appears we've found an explanation for the pickles that Nebraska's nutrition staff distributed after practice Saturday. According to this article, pickle juice can help athletes avoid cramps after workouts.
The best explanation I've read is that pickles are high in sodium, which can help the body process water and replenishing fluids after a workout.
So if the Huskers win a championship this fall, credit the pickles.
More hard-hitting stuff to come Monday.
