6:50 p.m.: Greetings from Chicago, where the Big Ten meetings and media days start Monday morning.
Starting at 10 a.m., we get 15-minute shots at the 11 current coaches. No, Nebraska's Bo Pelini won't be here. That would be rubbing the Big 12's face in it way too, much.
Husker A.D. Tom Osborne will be here, though, as the BIg Ten sifts through possible divisional alignments, a football title game and further expansion.
Commissioner Jim Delany will speak at 1:30 p.m., but don't expect to learn much of substance until Tuesday afternoon.
On Tuesday, three players from each team and the head coaches are put at tables in a big room and get fed to the media horde for two hours.
I saw five business-like people wearing Notre Dame shirts in the lobby of the hotel when I checked in. That means nothing, but I'm sure some fool will tweet that by the end of the night and create a false firestorm.
These stories don't work in small bites. The whole cake has to bake before you get a real taste of what's going on.
Anyway, stay with omaha.com for the latest.
