Thanks to Justin Bieber, Omaha made it as high as No. 6 on Twitter's top trending topics Tuesday.
The social networking and microblogging site tracks the most popular words, phrases, people and topics that its 100+ million users talk about.
In the video, which Bieber recorded at Westroads Mall before his July 3 performance at the Qwest Center Omaha, he raps “This is where we ball/this is where we ball at the Omaha mall.”
“It is very funny when i hear people thought OMAHA MALL was a real song ...we were just having some fun,” Bieber recently tweeted.
A short video filmed at Westroads includes shots of Bieber and his entourage driving past the mall, walking through JC Penney and the requisite screaming and gawking female fans. There is also a more polished “studio” version of the song.
While he was in town, Bieber also visited record store/T-shirt shop Drastic Plastic, where he “got some great T's and stickers,” he said on Twitter.
