NU-Buffs to kick off at 2:30 on ABC

LINCOLN — Nebraska and Colorado will carry on their tradition of playing the Friday after Thanksgiving in 2010.

The Big 12 and ABC/ESPN announced Tuesday that the NU-Colorado game will be Nov. 26 at Memorial Stadium with a 2:30 p.m. CST kickoff. It will be the 15th consecutive meeting between the Huskers and Buffaloes that is played the day after Thanksgiving, spanning the duration of the Big 12's existence.

It also will be the 18th consecutive NU-CU game carried by ABC.

Two other games on the Huskers' schedule for next season previously have been given kickoff times and television assignments. NU will play at Washington on Sept. 18 in a 2:30 p.m. game with ABC regional coverage, and the Big 12 opener at Kansas State has been moved to an ESPN Thursday night slot on Oct. 7 with a 6:30 start.

NU said in a release that it likely will explore pay-per-view options for Sept. 4 and Sept. 11 home games with Western Kentucky and Idaho, respectively. TV information and times for other games will be announced six to 12 days in advance of kickoff.

In all, the Big 12 has announced 18 contests set for broadcast as part of the league rights packages.
