Wellness Council will honor 15 companies

The Wellness Council of the Midlands will honor 15 companies April 15 for promoting wellness in the workplace.

The 11:30 a.m. awards luncheon, at the Qwest Center Omaha, will feature guest speaker Peggy Fleming, a former Olympic gold medal winner in figure skating.

This year’s recipients of the Platinum Award, the highest designation given to companies, are Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska; Nebraska Methodist College, the Josie Harper Campus; the Nebraska Medical Center; and Union Pacific Corp.

Other recipients: C&A Industries, Children’s Hospital & Medical Center, Faith Regional Health Services, Fremont (Neb.) National Bank & Trust Co., Great Plains Communications, Home Instead Inc., Hormel Foods, Nebraska Furniture Mart, Nye Senior Services, Streck Inc. and Fremont (Neb.) Family YMCA.
