All the snow has had an impact on the school calendar in the Omaha Public Schools.
School officials say elementary students need to make up about two hours to complete the 1,032 instructional hours necessary for this school year.
So this Friday -- originally designated as an early-release day for elementary students -- will be a full school day. Students will be dismissed at their regular time, 3:45 p.m.
Head Start students, whose time in class also has been affected by snow days, also will be in school all day on Friday.
